Description for Gite
The cottage is located on a 3,500m² plot of land along with our main house and a separate guest room. It used to be an old barn and offers a cozy living room combined with a kitchen on the ground floor, as well as a bathroom and separate toilet. Upstairs, there are two interconnected rooms, one with a 140cm bed and the other smaller one with bunk beds for children. You can enjoy meals outside in the garden while taking in the beautiful mountain landscape. Please note that we do not allow pets and payment can be made by check. At the end of your stay, there will be additional charges not included in the rental price, including a city tax of 0.34 euros per person per day (children under 5 are exempt) and extra charges for electricity consumption based on meter readings.
We provide a sufficient stock of wood for the stove free of charge, but the main heating is electric. Linen rental is available as an optional service, with prices of 10 euros for single bed sheets, 15 euros for double bed sheets, and 5 euros for towels per person. Payment for linen rental is due upon arrival.
For the end of stay cleaning, you have two options: either you can do the spring cleaning yourself, or for a fee of 50 euros, we can take care of it.
The Baronnies region has been classified as a zone for remarkable landscapes by Natura 2000. It includes a Cistercian abbey, a castle, a beautiful gulf, and a good cheese farmer. The area is dotted with small villages that seem frozen in time, making it a magical and rejuvenating place for us.
The town of Lies is located 8 km from Bagnère-de-Bigorre, a charming spa town with a farmers market, a spa center (Aquensis), a cinema, a theater, and a swimming pool. In the surrounding area, you will find the ski resort "TOURMALET - LA MONGIE BAREGES" 20 kilometers away, the Pic du Midi de Bigorre (the ship of the stars), and the city of Lourdes. There are also numerous opportunities for hiking in the nearby valleys, ranging from medium to high mountain hikes.
We, Sandra and Eric, look forward to welcoming you.
