Description for B&B:
Welcome to our historic house, situated at the heart of the village. Once the old town hall and school, this fully restored building is a testament to the rich heritage of our community. Unfortunately, the nearby Castle St Georges, which stood proudly on the foothills, is no longer standing.Perched atop a cliff, our village of Saorge, often referred to as the "Tibetan" village, offers stunning views overlooking the Roya Valley. It is conveniently located along the GR52 hiking trail and the Route du Baroque Nisso Ligure. As the gateway to the Mercantour National Park and the Valley of Marvels, our village is perfectly situated between the sea and the mountains. Ventimiglia, a seaside town, is just 30km (20 minutes) away, while Nice is a mere 70km (1 hour) drive.
Each of our rooms has been thoughtfully decorated to create a unique and inviting atmosphere, combining both comfort and authenticity. The rooms are named after the village fountains: Geija, Caquée, Soutai, Caranca, and Medge. All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom featuring a walk-in shower. Additionally, the rooms offer beds that can be separated into either 160cm or 180cm.
We are proud to announce that our guest rooms have been awarded the "Charmance" label and have received three ears, a symbol of quality and excellence.
