Description for B&B:
La Vayssade has been a family-owned property for four generations. Located on the outskirts of Lalbenque, this charming collection of buildings showcases the unique beauty of the Quercy region, spread across 10 hectares of truffle oaks. The Guest House, which is our own residence, is housed in a meticulously restored monumental barn that seamlessly blends modern and traditional architectural styles, designed by the renowned architect Michel Montal from Cahors. The premises are exquisitely personalized, adorned with tasteful decorations, and feature a spacious living room, a contemporary fireplace, and an open kitchen. Every detail has been carefully thought out to ensure an unforgettable stay. Joelle, Hélène, Pierre, and Emmanuel, the owners, will be delighted to introduce you to the local cuisine and share their unique recipes, as well as guide you through the wonders of the region.
During the summer, guests have access to the terrace under the arbor, the park, the garden, the pool, and the nearby beach. Additionally, we provide six bicycles free of charge (subject to availability and a refundable deposit) for those who wish to explore the surroundings.
For the colder seasons, the house is equipped with central heating, and the fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere for social gatherings. Winter is also an ideal time to discover the secrets of the Black Diamond during our Weekend Truffle experience, which includes a truffle-focused dining experience, a slideshow presentation, truffle hunting, and a visit to the famous Lalbenque truffle market.
