The charming farmhouse, originally built in 1802, has been beautifully renovated to preserve its original features. Nestled at the edge of the peaceful hamlet, Chignat, the farmhouse is surrounded by expansive gardens and barns. The meticulously landscaped grounds span 2 hectares and boast magnificent trees, blooming shrubs, well-maintained lawns, and picturesque meadows. Additionally, a bountiful vegetable garden adds to the allure of the property.The accommodation offers five bedrooms, including a double room, a family room, two twin rooms, and a single room. Bernie, a professional cook, prepares exquisite 5-star, 4-course meals in the evenings. The ingredients used are predominantly organic and sourced either from their own vegetable garden or from local suppliers. Breakfast is included in the room rate and offers a variety of options, such as fruit juice, cereal, organic muesli, fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, homemade bread, preserves, porridge (during colder weather), and ample coffee.
Situated on a 5-acre sloping meadow, the property also features a small campsite with 25 pitches. The campsite boasts a diverse collection of mature trees, shrubs, and abundant bird species, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts (don't forget your binoculars!). There are electric hook-ups available for 6 caravans or camping cars, and two large fully equipped trailer tents are available for rent. The sanitary facilities are top-notch, including a disabled shower and toilet. A reed bed system is in place for wastewater management, and a comprehensive recycling policy is implemented. Additionally, guests can enjoy a games room located in one of the barns, as well as access to a fridge and a washing machine.

Directions
To locate Chignat, keep in mind that it is often labeled as Chignal on maps, which can be confusing. Upon reaching Bourganeuf, you will encounter a roundabout (there is only one). Take the D37 and then the D8 towards Lac de Vassivière. Stay on this road for approximately 3 kilometers, and you will notice our blue signs guiding you to turn left. Follow these signs towards Chignat, and you will easily identify our property by its unique gates.
