Description for B&B:

Under new ownership, The Almond Tree warmly welcomes guests to its five spacious and sunny rooms. Most rooms feature a double bed and a single bed, and all rooms have a private bathroom equipped with a shower, sink, and toilet. Located in the heart of Durban Corbieres on the Cathar Trail and at the foot of Castle village, The Almond Tree is conveniently situated for exploring the area.

The rooms are spread across two floors, with a cozy breakfast area located at the back, nestled in the shade of palm and laurel trees. In case of inclement weather, the reception room is equally charming and inviting.

Visitors to the village of Durban Corbieres will find all necessary amenities, including a small supermarket, bakery, bank, pharmacy, doctors, two hairdressers, a municipal swimming pool, and a tennis court.

Nearby attractions include Durban Castle, dating back to the twelfth century, as well as Château d'Aguilar in Tuchan and other Cathar castles located just a few kilometers away, such as Quéribus and Corbieres. The stunning medieval city of Carcassonne is 80km from the village, while Perpignan and Narbonne are 40km and 50km away, respectively.

For sports enthusiasts, Durban and its surroundings offer ideal opportunities for hiking, cycling, and horseback riding. The Mediterranean Sea is less than a half-hour drive away, providing easy access to the beaches of La Franqui, Port-Leucate, and Port-la-Nouvelle, where visitors can swim and relax.

Additionally, a day trip to the Spanish border at La Jonquera or Perthus, or even Barcelona, is possible. And for those who enjoy mountain activities and skiing, Font Romeu and Les Angles are just a two-hour drive from Durban Road, making for a convenient day trip.
