Our corner of paradise:
For over 30 years, we have been enchanted by Creysseilles for its mountain scenery, small stone hamlets, authenticity, and the friendliness of its people. In 1985, we had the opportunity to discover and acquire this former farm in almost ruins, which we have gradually renovated. Located at an altitude of 700 meters, our one-hectare property offers a peaceful place to rest or relax for a few days. You can enjoy the quiet, the views, and hiking trails in Creysseilles or the neighboring towns. This place is enjoyable in all seasons, from the spring flowers and yellow broom-covered mountains to the summer heat by the pool, the autumn golden colors, and the winter coziness in front of the fireplace. Our house features 2 guest rooms on each side of our living space. Breakfasts and dinners, prepared by the lady of the house, are served in the dining room or on the terrace in summer. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing our love for this corner of Ardèche. Martine and Jean-Paul Marchal, and their pets: Allie and Mia (bitches), and cats Chestnut, Chatra, and saddle.

The house:
The farmhouse, which dates back to the seventeenth century, has been extended over time to meet housing needs. It consists of three adjoining buildings, residential housing vaults, a covered porch, a bread oven, and a courtyard closed by a gate. The high walls have been lowered to enjoy the view and access to the pool. The land extends over 1 hectare of meadow and moor, and includes a restored garden with a pond fed by a spring.

Activities nearby:
For those who enjoy walks or bike rides, there is a network of hiking trails and low traffic roads starting from the house. Within an hour or two, you can discover the cave of the Huguenots, an ancient tomb carved in stone, the church, the watchtower with its 360 ° view, or the volcano Chirouze. We can provide maps and guides of the area and offer advice based on your preferences. If you prefer to explore the area by car, Privas is a 15-minute drive away, Aubenas is 30 minutes away, Antraigues is 45 minutes away, Vallon Pont d'Arc is 1 hour away, and Mont Gerbier de Jonc is 1 hour and 15 minutes away. For those who appreciate local products, Privas offers chestnuts from Clement Faugier, charcuterie (stomachs, hams, dried mountain sausages), goat cheese (famous picodons), red and white Côtes du Rhône wines (Syrah, Merlot, Chardonnay, Viognier, etc.).

Description for Gite

"The "Cocoon" - Ideal for one or two individuals seeking comfort and tranquility. Situated on the first floor of the converted hay barn, this charming 40 m² space offers a landing, a separate toilet, and a bathroom complete with a bathtub and shower."

Appréciations pour Les Chambres du Clair, Creysseilles:

Une semaine sereine et sympathique
Review by: Josette, Sep 20 2016 1:21PM
