Description for B&B:

Our guesthouse is situated on 13 rue Darnel, tucked away behind the theater in Calais. The street is lined with stunning mansions from the early 20th century, and our guesthouse is one of two houses with semi-detached doors dating back to 1901. The oeil-de-boeuf in the attic adds a touch of bourgeois charm to the building.

Located in the heart of Calais center, our guesthouse is conveniently positioned along the axis of Calais-Nord, connected by the rue Royale. Just a 16-minute walk away, you'll find the lively Place d'Armes, bustling with restaurants and shops. During your stay, you can easily explore all of Calais's attractions, such as the theater (1 minute away), the market on Place Crève-Coeur (9 minutes away), the town hall and its belfry (12 minutes away), and even the beach and the dragon (34 minutes away).

If you're traveling by train, you're in luck as our guesthouse is located close to three train stations. The Calais-Fréthun station, which serves the Eurostar and TGV, is just 7.5 km away (13 minutes by car). The Calais-Ville and Fontinettes train stations are also easily accessible, just a 12-minute walk or 5-minute drive away.

For those who enjoy exploring on two wheels, we are conveniently located next to the theater, where you can find the Vélin bike share service just a 2-minute walk away. And if you prefer public transportation, the bus station is right across the street. Take advantage of the free Calais buses during your stay!

Your hosts, Nathalie, Laurent, their daughters, and their four cats, will warmly welcome you with a smile. Upon your arrival, they will offer you a refreshing or hot drink. They are dedicated to ensuring your comfort and are happy to provide recommendations for discovering the best of Calais and the Opal Coast in French, Dutch, English, or German!
