Description:

Description for B&B:

Saint-Savournin is a charming French commune situated in the department of Bouches-du-Rhone and the picturesque region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur. With a population of 3,151 residents as of 2009, it is nestled at the eastern edge of the Massif de l'Etoile, between the towns of Cadolive and Mimet. The locals of Saint-Savournin proudly refer to themselves as Saint-Savournicains and Saint-Savournicaines.

The climate of Saint-Savournin is greatly influenced by its geographical location. The village is perched on the northern slope of the Étoile massif, boasting a relatively high average altitude of over 440 meters. Consequently, Saint-Savournin stands apart from neighboring towns due to its more rigorous climate, with afternoon temperatures often reaching 3 to 5 °C colder than those experienced in Aix-en-Provence or Marseille.

The commune is conveniently located in close proximity to the national park of Calanques, approximately 14 kilometers away. Additionally, it is just a short distance from various notable destinations. Aubagne, renowned as the City of Pagnol, is a mere 14 kilometers away, while the Aix TGV train station can be reached within 17 kilometers. Less than 20 kilometers separate Saint-Savournin from the vibrant cities of Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, and Cassis, and the Marseille Provence airport is a convenient 25 kilometers away. This advantageous positioning places Saint-Savournin within a highly coveted "golden triangle," contributing significantly to its well-established reputation.
