Welcome to our charming Bed & Breakfast located in the historic servants quarters of an old château. If you are seeking personalized service, along with comfort in a unique setting, then our offer is sure to delight you. Our exclusive B&B, situated in the former washhouse of the château, offers spacious rooms (>25 m²), a large lounge with a diverse library featuring English, French, and German books, a hall filled with tourist information, as well as a private entrance and garden for our guests to enjoy. The guest rooms, nestled beneath the exposed roof beams, are tastefully furnished with fine antiques and boast impeccable private shower rooms and toilets.

After a restful night's sleep surrounded by nature, indulge in a delicious breakfast featuring homemade jams and other delectable treats, served in the lounge with a view of the park. In the afternoon, after a day of exploring, hiking, or cycling, take advantage of the serene surroundings of Joreau. Whether it's reading a book, sampling fruits from the orchard, or taking a nap in the hammock under a centuries-old tree, there are plenty of opportunities to relax.

Later in the evening, you can choose to dine at one of the delightful nearby restaurants or stay at Joreau. We offer a gourmet plate with wine and coffee by prior arrangement, or you can make use of our basic kitchen facilities in the lounge.

Our ensuite room, "Cremant de Loire," is perfect for a relaxed family holiday, offering one double and one twin room with a private shower room. Alternatively, "Saumur Champigny" provides a spacious 26 m² area for you to feel at home. The comfortable beds, measuring 0.90 x 1.90 m, can be arranged as either a king-size bed or two singles, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The tasteful decoration is complemented by an antique wardrobe and two armchairs. The private bathroom, with a separate toilet, has been recently renovated.

Description for Gite

The Farm of Joreau is a charming accommodation option that combines modern comfort with traditional architecture. With over 72 m² of space, this cozy house can accommodate up to 4-5 persons. Featuring touffe stone, slate, terra cotta tiles, old wood parquet, and ceiling, the house exudes a rustic charm.

The property underwent a complete renovation in May 2006, ensuring that guests will enjoy a comfortable stay. Outside, a large south-facing terrace awaits with garden furniture and a barbecue, perfect for outdoor dining. Additionally, there is an expansive 800 m² private garden that offers a tranquil view into the surrounding woods. For families, the property boasts a sandbox and swing for children to enjoy while adults relax with a glass of wine.

Upon entering the house, guests are greeted by a welcoming living room complete with a fireplace. Adjacent to the living room is the dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs, under the roof, there are two bedrooms - one with a double bed (160*200 cm) and the other with twin beds (80*200 cm). Guests will also find a bathroom with a shower and toilet. All beds will be prepared for guests' arrival, and for families traveling with infants, a baby cot and chair can be provided upon request. Firewood is also provided free of charge.

The Farm of Joreau is ideally located in Gennes, a charming village on the Loire's border. It is a short distance of 15 km (<10 miles) from Saumur and Doué-la-Fontaine, and 30 km (<20 miles) from Angers. Shopping facilities are conveniently located less than 1 km (0.5 miles) away from the gîte, and they are open 7 days a week.

Situated amidst the regional nature reserve "Loire-Anjou-Touraine," the Farm of Joreau serves as an excellent base for exploring the cultural, gastronomic, and natural wonders of the region. Whether guests are interested in hiking, biking, or simply immersing themselves in the picturesque surroundings, they will find that the house is perfectly positioned.
