Welcome to Simply Canvas, where you can experience the best of glamping and cottages/gites in the beautiful countryside of SW France, near Bergerac. We are thrilled to announce that our booking season for 2017 is now open.Immerse yourself in luxury camping with our 6 safari tents, each equipped with its own bathroom and comfortable boxspring beds. Camping has never been this enjoyable! Alternatively, choose from one of our three self-catering cottages or gites, including a spacious option that will make you never want to leave. All of our accommodations are nestled on our 12.5 acre property, offering breathtaking views of the countryside. Of course, we also have a large enclosed swimming pool for everyone to enjoy.
Located on the border of the Lot et Garonne and Dordogne departments in the Aquitaine region of Southwest France, we are conveniently close to Bergerac. Our region is often compared to Tuscany in terms of its stunning landscapes, including rolling hills, sunflower fields, wine chateaus, rivers, bastide villages, scenic walks, and charming castles.
We warmly invite you to experience a delightful holiday with us, filled with quality time for your family, the opportunity to make new friends for your children, and unforgettable outings. Description for Gite
All accommodations at Simply Canvas include breakfast.Stone B&B Cottage:
Experience an idyllic stay at the Stone B&B Cottage in Simply Canvas. This charming cottage is built with beautiful stones from the region and adorned with natural details. The cottage features a cozy living room, a small kitchen, and a double bedroom in the mezzanine with a sitting area. Downstairs, there is another bedroom for two children, a large shower room, and a toilet. With approximately 800 square feet of space, the cottage is perfect for families or couples. Outside, you can relax on the private terrace with sun chairs or find shade under the plum tree while enjoying the view over the fields.
White B&B Cottage:
Indulge in a delightful stay at the lovely White B&B Cottage in Simply Canvas. This beautifully decorated and bright house offers approximately 700 square feet of space. The cottage features a small living room with a kitchen, a double bedroom in the mezzanine accessible via stairs, and another double bedroom, separate bathroom, and toilet downstairs. Step outside the double doors onto a small terrace with a couch and chairs, or discover an additional area with sun beds behind the house. Guests also have access to our expansive 12.5-acre property.
Big Holiday Home:
If you desire luxury and ample space, our large holiday home is the perfect choice. This self-catering house, previously a wine-making "chai" on our property, has been completely renovated into a spacious and bright property spanning 1500 square feet. As soon as you arrive, you'll be amazed by the beauty of this home, even better than the pictures on our website. The holiday home features a large open living room with a kitchen, TV, and DVD player. From the living room, you can access a large veranda with glass doors surrounding it, creating a stunning dining room. Wake up in the morning and enjoy the perfect reading spot. The holiday home also includes a private garden with a stone BBQ, outdoor dining table, and sun chairs. It offers a double bedroom, a separate toilet, and a unique room for children to sleep in, made from the remains of old stone wine barrels. This room is perfect for 2-3 children.
Safari Tents:
Our small-scale safari tents provide a unique and immersive experience. With six tents, each slightly different in decoration, you can enjoy privacy and superb views over the fields. One tent is separate for those seeking even more privacy, while the other five tents are spread across a 1.25-acre field. All tents have a veranda, comfortable beds (we sleep on them ourselves), and your own bathroom just a few steps away.

Safari Tents and White B&B Cottage (including breakfast and private bathroom):
- 2 persons: €85 per night or €500 for a week (arrival day can be any day, with a minimum stay of 2 nights)
- 2-4 persons: €105 or €125 per night, or €600 for a week (arrival day can be any day, with a minimum stay of 2 nights)
Stone B&B Cottage (including breakfast):
- 2 persons: €90 per night or €550 for a week (arrival day can be any day, with a minimum stay of 2 nights)
- 2-4 persons: €110 (for 3 people) or €130 (for 4 people) per night, or €650 for a week (arrival day can be any day, with a minimum stay of 2 nights)
Holiday Home (including breakfast):
- 2-4 persons: €150 per night or €850 for a week (arrival day can be any day, with a minimum stay of 2 nights)
Prices for July and August:

Take the ring road towards Périgueux/Libourne and enter the highway (toll) just before Libourne. Take exit 12 for Ste Foy la Grande and once in Ste Foy, take the main road towards Duras (D708). In the village of Margueron, turn left towards Miramont. After about 5 km, turn left at the sign for Briquet/Bonac. Continue for about 220m until you reach the white gate (on your right) and you have arrived.
From Brive la Gaillarde:
Take the highway towards Bordeaux/Bergerac. Take exit 12 for Ste Foy la Grande and once in Ste Foy, take the main road towards Duras (D708). In the village of Margueron, turn left towards Miramont. After about 5 km, turn left at the sign for Briquet/Bonac. Continue for about 200m until you reach the white gate (on your right) and you have arrived.
