Description for Gite

Guy Tournoud eagerly awaits the opportunity to welcome you to his home as if you were old friends.

The House of Fir is a charming traditional house that showcases the beauty of wood. Despite not having any trees on the property, you'll feel as though you've stepped into a forest, with pine trees flourishing in your imagination.

Start your day in the inviting dining room, where you can indulge in a delicious traditional breakfast. Enjoy organic bread from Fournil the Gragnolet or the local bakery, along with homemade jams and honey sourced from nearby beekeepers.

When the weather turns chilly, cozy up in the living room near the crackling fire, letting its warmth envelop you.

Surrounding the house, a picturesque meadow awaits your exploration. Sip a drink, have engaging conversations, read a book, or simply relax and take a nap in the soothing shade of a tree.

Nestled within the Ecrins National Park, at an elevation of 800 meters, you'll find Entraigues, a charming village cradled between two rivers, The Good and The Malsanne. The village consists of three hamlets: the Bourg, the Villard, and Gragnolet. To enhance your hiking experience, a bakery and a butcher shop are available to provide provisions for your journey or a delightful picnic. On Fridays, immerse yourself in the local culture by visiting the small market and purchasing regional products. The village also offers a doctor's office, a gas station, and a supermarket, all within a 4-kilometer radius. For further information, please contact the City Hall at tel. April 76 30 20 18.

If you're feeling adventurous, take a scenic drive to Valjouffrey to discover the untouched beauty of the valley and its charming mountain villages. Alternatively, embark on the renowned Great Excursion National Park Ecrins trail. For a more popular destination, head towards Oisans, passing through the scenic Col d'Ornon and exploring Bourg d'Oisans, Alpe d'Huez, Deux Alpes, or Bérarde.

From Entraigues, you can also visit the revered shrine of Our Lady of La Salette, either by car or on foot. During the summer, escape the heat by cooling off at the Valbonnais water level, located just 4 kilometers away. For more information, visit the Valbonnais Tourist Office.
