This is a small and charming flat that is well-equipped and perfect for two people (plus a baby). It is ideally located near the Loire river, with a 10-minute walk to the city center and a 20-minute walk to the station. The flat is independent and situated on the ground floor of a house from the middle ages. You will have your own terrace and BBQ in the yard, and it is very peaceful and quiet. There is a free car park nearby for your convenience. This flat is ideal for tourism in the beautiful LOIRE valley and is perfect for cycling enthusiasts, as bikes are available for short stays. There are plenty of exciting activities to enjoy, such as visiting the stunning Loire valley castles, exploring the Loire bike track, and sampling the delicious Loire valley wines (the nearest vineyards are just 2km away, easily accessible on foot!).Description for Gite

This vibrant city offers a plethora of shops, restaurants, and a rich historical and architectural heritage to admire.From our conveniently located accommodation, you can easily explore Tours on foot. Experience the thrill of crossing the river on the famous pedestrian and cyclist-only "Pont de fil" (suspended bridge), especially at dawn or sunset. Just a short walk away, you will find shops, restaurants, the cathedral, and the charming old part of Tours. The train station is also within a 20-minute walking distance, and if you have heavy luggage, we are happy to provide transportation.
Our cozy basement flat, situated in a charming old Tuffeau house with south-facing beams, offers a comfortable retreat for your stay. You will have a private terrace in the yard to relax and enjoy. The kitchen is separate from the bedroom/living room, and the high-quality convertible sofa (2016) provides ample space for dancing to your favorite tunes on the hi-fi sound system (compatible with your iPod).
Bed linen, towels, and teatowels are available for an additional six euros per person per stay. The bathroom is well-equipped to meet all your needs, and the fitted kitchen provides everything you require. We warmly welcome babies and young children, providing a bed, chair, and crockery.
Stay connected with internet access, and a mobile phone is available if needed. Cable TV offers a variety of French and foreign channels. A large car park, bus stop, shops, cafés, and restaurants are just a minute away from the accommodation. You can also explore the historical neighborhood by the Loire, with the "Loire à vélo" cycle track or relax in the spacious riverside park, which includes tennis grounds.
If possible, we would love to welcome you with a glass of the famous local VOUVRAY sparkling wine (from just 5 km away) and, if we are around, you may even have the opportunity to enjoy a jacuzzi at our place (additional fee). Bikes are available for touring the city free of charge. The accommodation is completely independent, except for the shared yard with other tenants. You will have access to a designated area for bikes and garden furniture, as well as a washing machine.
I am always here to assist you and provide recommendations, whether you need to rent a car, find something special, or seek advice for your visits. At my place, you can also unwind in the jacuzzi (for a small fee) and have a friendly chat with us, if we are available.
Immerse yourself in the fascinating historical environment, with its medieval houses, charming alleys, troglodyte dwellings, and caves (including your own house!). The nearby church and the footbridge across the LOIRE give the area a delightful village-like atmosphere. A grocery store, bakery, butcher, newsagents, bus stop, and the picturesque footbridge are all within easy reach.
The bus stop is just 100 meters away, with direct bus number 17 connecting to the station and city center. Tramway 12 is also within walking distance, providing access to the city center and station. You can also choose to walk to and from the train station. If available, we can arrange to pick you up from the bus/train station, tram stop, or airport. Multiple parking options, mainly free, are available within a maximum of 200 meters.

I'll assist you with the directions and provide a document for your reference. If you're arriving by plane and we're nearby, we'll pick you up from the airport. If you're coming by train, it's a simple 20-minute walk or you can take a direct bus, making it extremely convenient.
