Nestled in the charming village of Domancy, Takeyama is surrounded by the majestic Mont-Blanc, the Aravis mountain range, and the towering peak of Warens. Our home embraces the essence of a traditional Japanese guest house, known as a "Ryokan", while seamlessly blending in modern comforts. The exquisite decor features natural elements like tatami mats, sliding doors crafted from beautiful wood, and authentic Japanese furniture. Delicate rice paper accents add to the overall ambiance. We have taken great care to ensure your utmost comfort and tranquility after a full day of exploring the wonders of our magnificent mountains.

Une halte japonaise bien agréable
Une pause très agréable avant de passer le tunnel du mont blanc, mais pas forcément facile à trouver au départ. Très bon accueil, on est aux petits soins pour nous. Ceux qui adorent le Japon sont servis : meubles authentiques, futons, etc. tout y est pour s'y croire. La salle de bain, plus occidentale, est superbe. Notre hôte est un spécialiste des cerisiers japonais et parle le japonais ! Le petit déjeuner est bien copieux, et y'a qu'à demander pour en avoir plus... Bref, de très bons souvenirs pour nous.

Our guest house is situated in Domancy, a small village in front of the magnificent Mont-Blanc. It offers a breathtaking view of the valley and the surrounding plains. From our home, you can enjoy the beauty of three different mountains: the Aravis massif on the west side, the peak of Warens to the north, and the iconic Mont-Blanc on the east side. We are conveniently located just 6 km from Combloux, 24 km from Chamonix, and 10 km from Megève.
If you are coming by train, you can take the TGV high-speed train from Paris. Please note that during the winter holidays, some TGV trains arrive at Saint Gervais les Bains railway station, which is only 7 km away from our guest house. From there, you have the option to rent a car, take a taxi, or catch a bus to reach us. The nearest railway station to our guest house is Sallanches, which is just 3 km away. You can plan your journey using the SNCF website and entering either "Sallanches" or "Domancy" as your destination.
For those driving on motorway A40/E25 towards Chamonix, take exit number 21 "Le Fayet - St Gervais-Les-Bains". At the first roundabout, continue straight. At the next roundabout, turn right towards Sallanches. Along the way, you will pass by supermarkets on your right. Drive about 300 meters on Route du Fayet (A road N205) and then turn left at the crossroad with a high cross. Take the first road on your right, Route de la Viaz, and follow it until you reach a turning where you turn left onto Chemin du Cart. Our guest house, Takeyama, is located a short distance down this road on your left.
