Description for B&B:
Our historic farm, La Petite Rosière, is situated in a secluded location on the southern foothills of the Vosges. It marks the starting point of the mille-étangs ("thousand ponds") high plateau, where water flows towards the Mediterranean Sea. Located just above the commune of La Rosière, "La Petite Rosière" is tucked away at the end of a small road. It enjoys a tranquil setting with no traffic in sight, apart from our own driveway that leads through a large, covered gate to the farm. The surrounding landscape offers endless possibilities for exploration, whether it be short walks along forest and meadow paths or embarking on longer hikes. The farmhouse harmoniously blends with the old bakehouse and the charming "tourelle". On the other side of the property, a sprawling orchard gently slopes down to a serene bathing lake, flanked by a majestic rock. Beyond the lake lies a captivating deciduous forest, with enchanting paths winding through moss-covered rocks and ancient trees, leading to breathtaking viewpoints and magical spots. Above the house, farm, and lake, lies the spring meadow, once connected to the outside world by an old donkey path. The water that supplies our house originates from the depths of this meadow. We now utilize a portion of the meadow for our vegetable and potato crops. Whether it's by the pond, on the edge of the forest, amidst the blooming natural meadows, or surrounded by a mix of young and old beeches, oaks, birches, and ash trees, there are numerous spots that beckon tranquility and a connection with nature.Reviews
