Description for B&B:

Our chambres dhôtes, also known as a French Guesthouse or Bed and Breakfast, is situated in the charming market town of Felletin, just a short 10-minute drive from Aubusson. Located in the La Creuse department of the Limousin Region, our guesthouse is conveniently positioned halfway between Limoges and Clermont-Ferrand in the heart of France, making it an ideal base for exploring the Auvergne region, including attractions like La Mont Dore and the Puy-de-Dôme.

The main house, which has been carefully restored, preserves its original features and is adorned with carefully selected antique furniture. While the majority of the building dates back to the 18th century (as evidenced by the 1761 carved fireplace in chambre 1, pictured on the left), some parts may have even older origins, as it is situated on the site of one of the four gates to the medieval fortified town.

We offer traditional French chambres dhôtes with a touch of luxury, providing spacious and beautiful ensuite rooms at reasonable prices. Additionally, we have the option to provide delicious vegetarian evening meals for our guests.

The cost of staying in either Chambre 1 or Chambre 2 for one night is 50 Euros, accommodating one or two persons. Chambre 3 can be utilized as an apartment, featuring a kitchen and a large bathroom with a full-sized bath complete with a rain shower. The cost for Chambre 3 is 60 Euros with the kitchen or 50 Euros without.

For those requiring extra beds, we can accommodate them for an additional charge of 10 Euros per bed per night.

Breakfast is available at a charge of 6 Euros per person, and our vegetarian evening meals consist of a three-course meal, cheese, and coffee, priced at 20 Euros per person.

Felletin serves as the gateway to the plateau de Millevaches and is surrounded by picturesque countryside, forests, and lakes. La Creuse is a paradise for hikers, cyclists, anglers, and photographers, offering year-round beauty. Felletin itself is a captivating town with its beautiful churches and other remarkable buildings, providing visitors with plenty to explore without venturing far.

The water in Felletin is sourced from the mountains, resulting in a pure and natural taste. Fellis, a locally brewed beer, benefits from this exceptional water quality.

The town hosts a vibrant market every Friday, along with a Christmas market during the winter months. In the summer, visitors can enjoy a world music and dance festival. Other festivities and special events include a book festival (journée du livre), a beer festival (fête de la bière), and the fête de Felletin.

The town square and its quaint cobbled streets offer a variety of amenities such as cafes, bars, restaurants, bakeries, pastry shops, two small yet well-stocked supermarkets, banks, gift shops, and a tourist information office. There is also a larger supermarket on the outskirts of town, which is within walking distance.

In addition to its architectural marvels, Felletin is renowned for its tapestry, just like its neighbor Aubusson. Visitors have the opportunity to visit the famous Pinton factory, where the world-famous tapestry depicting Christ in Coventry Cathedral was produced. If you are seeking accommodation in Aubusson, why not consider 3 Place des Arbres? Located just 10 kilometers away, our luxury guesthouse is the perfect choice.

The river Creuse flows by Felletin, providing the perfect setting for a delightful evening spent savoring a glass of champagne and indulging in locally produced cheese on delicious French bread.

La Creuse is a truly remarkable destination, offering the best of the Limousin region and bordering the Auvergne. Just an hour's drive away lies the awe-inspiring Puy de Dome, a must-visit location. Prepare to be captivated by the breathtaking beauty of this area.
