Welcome to Château Labistoul, a charming bed and breakfast located near Cordes sur Ciel in the south of France. Our guest house offers a friendly atmosphere and is conveniently situated not far from Albi, home to the stunning Cathedral Saint Cécile. Immerse yourself in the enchanting beauty of this region, whether it be during the long, warm summers or the vibrant spring and autumn seasons. Our accommodation can accommodate up to 18 guests in two separate rooms - one double, one twin - as well as a spacious family gite/farmhouse, all equipped with private bathrooms.

Within our grounds, you will discover two swimming pools, a beautifully landscaped garden featuring an ancient lavoir, and a courtyard with a historic fountain where we serve breakfast. Nestled within 18 hectares of picturesque countryside, Château Labistoul offers a tranquil and serene environment, accessed via a winding lane that leads you to panoramic views and lush green valleys.

Your hosts, Jacques and Marjo, warmly welcome you to the chateau. With its origins dating back to the 11th century as a watchtower for the village of Campes, Château Labistoul exudes a sense of history and charm. The crackling fireplace invites you to dream of times gone by, while the gardens offer breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside, including the distant village of Bournazel. The nearby river Magot, a source of fresh water for centuries, still attracts deer to its banks, just as it did during the time of Simon de Montfort.

Conveniently located 2 kilometers from Saint Marcel and 4 kilometers from the medieval hilltop village of Cordes sur Ciel, our château has been meticulously restored to offer modern amenities without compromising its historical integrity. Spend your holiday indulging in the beauty of the area, whether it's lounging by the pool, strolling through the gardens, or exploring the grounds of the château.

Having lived in this beautiful region for many years, we have acquired a wealth of knowledge that we are eager to share with you to ensure an unforgettable holiday experience. We offer a range of options to suit your needs, including a charming bed and breakfast at Cordes sur Ciel, not far from Albi, as well as a stunning farmhouse available for rent, complete with a private swimming pool. Additionally, we can arrange various activities such as archery, canoeing, and guided walks, as well as visits to the famous Cathedral Saint Cécile and nearby medieval villages that have seemingly stood still in time.

Whatever the season, enjoy the beauty of nature and the soothing sounds of the countryside, perhaps accompanied by a glass of local French wine on the terrace during the summer or in front of a roaring log fire in the winter. At Château Labistoul, we strive to provide everything you need for the perfect holiday. Rest assured, our personal attention will be dedicated to ensuring your stay is truly memorable.
