To reach the Château de Villeneuve, you have several options:
By plane: Ryanair operates flights from London and Brussels to Cacassonne airport.
By train: You can take the SNCF train to Carcassonne station.
By bus: There is a bus service from Carcassonne to Montolieu. Please refer to the timetable for specific departure times.
By car:
- If you are coming from Toulouse, take Motorway A61 and exit at Castelnaudary. Follow RN113 towards Carcassonne. Upon reaching Alzonne, take the D8 road. In Montolieu, drive through the village towards Saissac and Revel. After 2 km, you will see a small road on your right indicating "Villeneuve". The castle is just a short distance ahead.
- If you are coming from Narbonne, take Motorway A61 towards Toulouse. Exit at Carcassonne Ouest and then follow RN113 towards Toulouse. After passing Pezens, turn right towards Revel and continue past Moussoulens. In Montolieu, drive through the village towards Saissac and Revel. After 2 km, you will see a small road on your right indicating "Villeneuve". The castle is just a short distance ahead.
