Description for B&B:

Queens Escape, located in Martel, France, is a charming bed & breakfast and wedding venue housed in a historic 200-year-old castle known as Château de La Tuilerie. Originally built by a former mayor of Martel in 1820, this enchanting castle earned its name from the Belgian Queen and royal family who sought refuge here during the tumultuous years of World War II. It is worth noting that while the king chose a different château, Queens Escape served as a serene haven for the queen and her family. Today, we strive to offer our guests a similar escape from the demands of modern life, allowing them to immerse themselves in a bygone era and relish in the vast open spaces that provide a sense of tranquility.

At Queens Escape, we have embraced the regal theme of queens throughout the castle, giving each guest room the name of a remarkable queen. You can choose to stay in Margrethe, named after the Queen of Denmark, or Eleanor of Aquitaine, a former queen of both France and England. Additionally, we offer rooms honoring Catherine the Great, the illustrious ruler of Russia, Cleopatra, the iconic Queen of the Nile, and Himiko, the esteemed former ruler of Wa, which is now known as Japan. Excitingly, we will soon unveil the Queen Elizabeth II bridal suite, providing a truly royal experience for our guests.

To experience the timeless charm of Queens Escape, we invite you to book your stay with us. Immerse yourself in the rich history and serenity of this extraordinary castle by visiting our website: https://queensescape.com
