Description for B&B:
Welcome to La Tisserande, a charming historical stone guesthouse nestled in the heart of Brittany. With a deep appreciation for the past and a vision for the future, our whimsical, inspired, and serene retreat is hidden between woodlands, rivers, oceans, and ancient mountains.Whether you are a solo traveler, couple, family, or group of friends, La Tisserande welcomes you. Our haven is perfect for those seeking adventure and exploration of the myths and legends of this magical region. It is also an ideal escape from the daily routine, offering a romantic getaway in the heart of nature. And for those in need of a moment of peace, self-care, and forest-bathing, we have created the perfect sanctuary.
La Tisserande, which means "The Weaver of Water," can weave your wishes to life. Our XVII-century flax-farm and linen-weavery serves as the perfect hub for discovering the region in all four directions.
But your vacation at La Tisserande has a purpose beyond your personal experience. 100% of the proceeds from your stay support a nonprofit organization called La SOURCE Center for Research & Creation - the world's first international and interdisciplinary research center dedicated to Love-Studies. Your investment in your own adventure directly contributes to ongoing research, making a difference in the world. This is our WHY, our "raison d'être," our reason for being.
At La Tisserande, imagination flourishes. There is a universe of secret beauty waiting for you to discover on the other side of every tree, river, and moment. Our space is also in harmony with the earth. We embrace an ecological lifestyle, constantly learning more about our shared home - this marvelous planet.
With four passionate coordinators, a mini-dog, 3 hens, a duck, and 11 goats, we are here to serve you. By serving you, we serve our project, and ultimately, we serve the world.
Our Maison d'Hôtes de Charme was renovated in 2012 using ecological and natural materials. We provide luxurious hotel linens from Linvosges, washed in organic, body-safe, and earth-safe detergents. Our high-end memory foam mattresses ensure a restful sleep, leaving you relaxed and energized for the day ahead. Additionally, we offer organic, body-safe, and earth-safe customized soap, body wash, and shampoo sourced locally.
Choose from a variety of accommodations, including a duplex suite for 3 people, a duplex suite for 4 people, a double bedroom suite for 4 people, and an independent fully equipped cottage for 2 to 3 people. All rooms include open access to the heated pool.
We are delighted to share our garden with you. It is a spacious and slightly wild oasis, filled with sweet and quiet corners perfect for picnicking or lounging in the sun. As a traditional French "corps de ferme," our property is designed with a meeting place in the middle of the stone buildings, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Our Hearth, a combination of Earth and Heart, is available for you to share. Twice a week, we offer Table d'Hôtes, and during the summer, we cook directly with wood fire in the summer kitchen. Apart from these occasions, please feel free to utilize this space for preparing your own meals.
