Description for B&B:
The Kerbeleg B&B is conveniently located just 10 minutes away from the picturesque city of painters, Pont-Aven, and a mere 15 minutes away from beautiful beaches. Situated in a tranquil setting, this stunning 15th century stone house is surrounded by a spacious 2-hectare park.Originally built on the foundation of a 15th century castle, this historic place has undergone various extensions and renovations throughout the years, transforming it from a manor house to a farm, and now to a charming B&B. Your hostess, a passionate history enthusiast, will gladly share her knowledge about the place, and a book detailing recent research on the site's Breton history is available in each room for you to peruse.
Two spacious and comfortable bedrooms have been carefully renovated to maintain the house's authentic charm, reminiscent of its ownership by the same family for the past six decades. Both rooms offer unobstructed views of the park, with a southern orientation to soak in plenty of sunlight.
The owner has worked with skilled local craftsmen to transform Kerbeleg into a delightful bed and breakfast. The farmhouse showcases a harmonious blend of carefully chosen materials and redesigned layouts. The centerpiece of the farmhouse is the cathedral lounge, complete with a grand fireplace, perfect for relaxation and reading. Adjacent to the lounge is the billiard room, a spacious living area with exposed beams and a stone floor.
A majestic stone staircase leads from the billiard room to the two comfortable bedrooms on the landing. Each bedroom has its own shower room, while the separate WC is conveniently located on the landing.
The BIRDS room features a large original granite fireplace and an additional small bedroom for two children. Les OURS offers a magnificent view of the park, while La Maison à PAIN, the former bread oven of the estate, will soon be transformed into a charming room for a couple, complete with a mezzanine that can accommodate one or two additional children.
On one side of the living room, behind another impressive fireplace, you'll find the kitchen, where you can indulge in a gourmet breakfast around a spacious solid wood monastery table.
For leisure activities, the other side of the living room houses a leisure room and library, equipped with a table football and a card table. On days when the weather isn't ideal or when you return from a hike, you can relax in this peaceful space.
When the weather is pleasant, meals can be enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the park. If you're an early riser, you might even catch a glimpse of deer, pheasants, and other wildlife at dawn.
Conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the motorway, Kerbeleg offers easy access to the peaceful countryside. It also serves as an ideal base for exploring the region's cultural sites and tourist attractions, such as the city of sailing, Lorient, Quimper, Concarneau with its charming old town, numerous small ports, the abers of South Finistère, and the magnificent granite sites.
