Description for B&B:

The Mauguio Carnon, a common town located 10 minutes east of Montpellier, is a vibrant blend of marshes, rice fields, vineyards, and woodland that make up the beautiful Camargue region. This area is rich in history and offers a unique mix of traditional and modern elements. The Petite Camargue is known for its diverse landscapes and the convergence of various industries such as salt production, reed cutting, and viticulture. It is also a place where bulls, horses, and men come together in a singular culture. Mauguio, situated between Nimes and Montpellier and close to the A9 motorway, is known for its association with the sacred bull, which is an integral part of the Camargue races. The city of Mauguio has a fascinating history as the first medieval town of Lower Languedoc, and it is home to a significant Spanish community. The city encompasses 7500 hectares of land, including the Etang de l'Or, a wetland of national importance with a diverse flora and fauna. The resort town of Carnon, with its barrier beach and marina, is a popular destination for tourists, offering six kilometers of protected dunes and beaches. Mauguio is also conveniently located near the Montpellier-Méditerranée International Airport and is known for its equestrian culture and numerous stables.
