I'll make sure to let you know about all the best things to do!Situated on the banks of the Saleix, this location benefits from a pleasant and refreshing temperature during the summer months. The gentle and soothing sound of the stream flowing nearby helps you leave behind the chaos of everyday life and truly unwind during your vacation.
Although there are several car parks available near the house, the cottage can be easily reached by taking a short stroll through the charming old stone streets of the historic district known as "Le Barri." This name originates from the fortifications that once enclosed this part of town. The absence of cars in the immediate vicinity makes this cottage particularly suitable for families vacationing with children or for those seeking a peaceful and serene environment.
Numerous activities are just a short distance away from the lodge. The village is renowned for being the starting point for many hiking trails and is conveniently located near the GR10, a famous hiking route that stretches across France from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean coast, following the Pyrenees mountain range.

Located on the first floor, this exquisite gite boasts a cozy living room complete with a TV for your entertainment. Additionally, the first single bedroom on this floor offers a breathtaking view of the mountain and the tranquil stream that flows in front of the house.Ascending the stairs to the second floor will lead you to the second single bedroom, with the convenience of a shower/bathroom adjacent to it.
As a delightful finale, the double bedroom at the front of the house presents a balcony where you can indulge in the stunning vista of the valley, adorned by rolling hills and majestic mountains.
Situated directly in front of the house, a charming terrace awaits you, furnished with a table, bench, parasol, and barbecue. This easily accessible outdoor space is perfect for enjoying al fresco dining, while the soothing sounds and refreshing breeze from the nearby creek provide an ideal sanctuary from the summer heat.
For nature enthusiasts, a short ascent of the steps adjacent to the house will lead you to the forest trails, granting you access to numerous picturesque walks in the valley.

Located in the charming historic area of Auzat village, the Gite du Rocher is nestled in the picturesque Vicdessos valley. It is conveniently situated at the base of the magnificent Montcalm mountain, the highest peak in Ariège at an altitude of 3050 meters.
Accessing the gîte is a breeze, as it can be easily reached by car. It is only a 20-minute drive from the nearest train station, Tarascon-sur-Ariége. If needed, pick-up service can be arranged from the train station.
