Description:

Description for B&B:

St. Jeanvrin is a quaint town located in the southern region of Bourges, Cher, which happens to be the ancestral home of the family. The house was given the name as a tribute to their roots.

The name "Jeanvrin" is a local variation of Januarius, who was a prominent figure in Naples. St. Januarius, a bishop and martyr from Naples who lived during the 4th century (+305), is one of fifty chosen protectors revered by the people of Naples. Throughout history, he has provided protection against various calamities, such as the plague in 1497, 1631, 1698, and 1767, as well as the potential destruction caused by the eruption of Vesuvius in 1779.

One of the well-known miracles associated with St. Januarius is the liquefaction of his blood, which solidifies during the rest of the year but turns liquid three times annually within the Cathedral of Naples. This miraculous occurrence has been observed for over 600 years.
