Description:

Description for B&B:

Françoise and Yves have lovingly restored an old café from the nineteenth century in the charming village. The building now boasts turquoise shutters, a pergola at the front, and a secluded garden at the rear. The garden is sheltered by a hill and adorned with various species of trees and flowers.

Inside, there are four comfortable bedrooms, one of which is uniquely located within the antique shop itself. This room showcases period décor and features furniture expertly restored by Yves, a skilled cabinetmaker. The idea of allowing guests to sleep amidst the treasures found in the region was conceived by Françoise, who also manages the shop.

The furniture throughout the café has been carefully restored, and the shop has been redecorated, offering a modern twist amidst the collection of walnut chests of drawers from the time of Louis-Philippe, country tables, rustic cupboards, old glasses, slip pots, chandelier pendants, and glazed pottery. The array of items is sure to leave you feeling delighted and amazed.

Upstairs, above the carpenter's workshop, you will find a light and airy room. The stairwell leading to this room is adorned with posters collected by the owners over the years, many of which are from the renowned Hauterives annual jazz festival. The room itself exudes coziness and charm, and it is equipped with a kettle, coffee, and a fridge available in the lobby.

Appréciations pour Chez L'Antiquaire, Hauterives:

The best BnB we've every stayed in
Review by: Teresa McCarthy , Juil 22 2023 9:23AM
Françoise and Yves have thought of everything and have added wonderful things such as homemade juice and conserves to Fresh croissants and bread each day. The apartment lacked absolutely nothing and they gave us lots of information for our stay. Wonderful facilities and garden to enjoy and right in tow. Thank you
