Description for B&B:

La Grande Lauzade is a historic property in Provence that dates back to the 18th century. It was originally built on the grounds of a monastery that has ancient origins dating back to the 12th century, and even earlier during Gallo-Roman times when the site was inhabited. The monastery, once prominent and renowned in the region, was looted and completely destroyed during the French Revolution. It was then sold by the State as a national property.

The present-day house was constructed using the original stones and foundations of the monastery. Evolving from a farm to a wine estate, La Grande Lauzade is rich in centuries-old history. The guest house is surrounded by vineyards that still produce the esteemed Lauzade wine today. Guests have access to various levels of gardens for their enjoyment, with a pool deck nestled under the shade of "platane" trees and a 6-person jacuzzi nearby. The large cedar tree in the lower garden provides a protective canopy from the sun.

Inside the house, there is a fitness room equipped with a power plate and sauna, as well as a billiard lounge. The astonishing indoor heated pool is located in the old basement.

This charming "bastide" is located in the beautiful region of Provence in the South of France. It is situated near the picturesque and protected environment of "la plaine des Maures" and is also in close proximity to the French Riviera as well as the scenic and untamed countryside of "le haut Var".
