Description for B&B:

Welcome to MAISON 1780, a brand new address that offers both comfort and friendliness. Prepare to be surprised by the audacity and refinement of its decoration.

Situated in the charming town of Cournon d'Auvergne, between the Regional Natural Parks of Volcanoes and Livradois-Forez, MAISON 1780 is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Auvergne region. Just 15 minutes southeast of Clermont-Ferrand and a mere 5 minutes from the Zenith and the Grande Halle d'Auvergne, this location is ideal for exploring the area's major attractions.

As soon as you pass through the gate, you'll be enchanted by the lush greenery that surrounds MAISON 1780. This former winemaker farm, dating back to the 18th century, has been fully restored in 2017 to provide you with a peaceful haven and a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

On the first floor, you'll find our three charming bedrooms: "BERRY," "POLLEN," and "POTIRON." Each room opens onto a lovely garden adorned with fig trees, lilacs, lavenders, rosemary, and oleander. The rooms are designed to play with light and feature soothing colors, offering you the utmost comfort and tranquility for a restful stay.

Room "POTIRON" (28m2) boasts a double bed (160 x 200) and a private bathroom and toilet.

Room "POLLEN" (29m2) is a family room with a double bed (160x200) and an independent living room that can serve as a second bedroom with a double bed (140x190). It also has a private bathroom and a separate toilet on the same floor. Please note that our house is not suitable for children under 12.

Room "BERRY" (12m2) can be arranged with either a double bed (160x200) or two single beds (80x200). It also has a private bathroom and a separate toilet on the same floor.

The interior of the house combines modern and traditional elements, such as volcanic lava stone staircases, old fireplaces, lime-washed timber-framed walls, original oak floors, vaulted ceilings, and tomettes. Period furniture, designer pieces, and cherished objects create a warm and inviting atmosphere of a "family home."

Guests have access to spacious common areas, including a dining room and a living room.

The surrounding hills beckon you to take a leisurely stroll, and you can also relax on a lounger in the shade of the fig trees or on the terrace after a day of exploring the region's treasures.

Our gourmet and generous breakfasts will remind you of the importance of taking the time to enjoy a meal. You will be treated to a variety of homemade products, such as jams, brioche, pastries, organic bread and yogurts, local honey, cereals, fresh fruit, high-quality bulk tea, and fruit juices.

For dinner, we offer a table d'hôtes experience upon reservation (45 euros per adult, including wine / 35 euros per child under 18), which includes a house cocktail, a starter, a main course, a selection of regional cheeses, and a dessert. Our local cuisine celebrates seasonal ingredients and the culinary treasures of our region.

To assist you in your explorations, we provide various itineraries that highlight the must-see sites of the region.

MAISON 1780 is a charming retreat that will captivate all travelers seeking a unique experience in the Auvergne. It is a place that whispers its beauty, as those who have discovered it wish to keep it a secret!
