Description for B&B:
Located in the heart of the Alsatian vineyard, Mr. Wendling's homestead is a remarkable architectural gem. With a deep passion for renovation and a love for preserving the beauty of old stones, Mr. Wendling has meticulously restored this 16th-century construction. Known as "Cour de Truchsess" or "Cour de Bergheim," the house has earned its name from the two noble families that have owned it throughout the centuries. To enter the house, one must pass through a grand bow gate, which leads to an exquisite interior adorned with a turret of stairs dating back to 1523. As you explore, you'll notice a sundial proudly displaying the Latin inscription "Carpe Diem," encouraging all to seize the day. Nestled in a tranquil setting, our homestead provides the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the charm of this unique city. Whether you visit during sunup, when the morning light paints a magical atmosphere, or experience the autumnal fog or the enchanting Christmas illuminations at nightfall, Riquewihr promises unforgettable moments.Reviews
