"La Metairie du Fraysse" is a charming and character-filled cottage located in the beautiful Corrèze region. This detached house, restored in 2011, offers all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay and a serene environment for relaxation.Ideal for those seeking tranquility and a connection with nature, this character house is nestled in a small hamlet in Corrèze, close to the stunning Gorges of the Dordogne. The house exudes its original charm with thick stone walls, an inglenook fireplace, typical bassière of the region, exposed beams, and a slate roof.
The 30m² living room is centered around the traditional fireplace and is equipped with a stove, a large plasma TV, DVD player, and stereo. We have recently added wireless internet for your convenience. The kitchen is open to the living room and is fully equipped with an oven, hob, extractor, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, and all necessary utensils. Additionally, there is a laundry room on the premises.
The house features three bedrooms: one with a double bed, another with a double bed and a single bed (wrought iron sofa), and a small room with a single bed. The bathroom is spacious and includes two basins and a bath with a tropical rain shower. Baby equipment such as a cot, highchair, bath, changing mat, potty, and bottle warmer are available upon request.
Well-behaved pets are welcome, but please inform the owner when booking. Smoking is not allowed inside the house, and guests are kindly requested to use the provided ashtrays if they choose to smoke outside.
The house is surrounded by a large 2000m² garden enclosed by a dry stone wall. The garden offers two lounges, a parasol, a barbecue, a playground, and a badminton area for your enjoyment.
Whether you are looking to relax, engage in sports activities, or explore the rich cultural heritage of the area, our house is the perfect destination for a family or friends' holiday. Nearby attractions include the Sédières Castle, Gimel waterfalls, Argentat-sur-Dordogne, a medieval discovery center in Egletons, Beaulieu sur Dordogne, Tours de Merle, a medieval farm in Xaintrie, the President Chirac museum in Sarran, and Tulle. For those willing to venture a bit further, there are also the Aubazine canal, Collonges-la-Rouge, Curemonte, Turenne, Padirac, Pompadour, Rocamadour, Lascaux Cave, the Natural Park of Auvergne Volcanoes, Sarlat, Figeac, Salers, and Aurillac.
Various outdoor activities are available, such as forest walks, hiking trails, swimming in Laborde pond or lake Marcillac la Croisille, fishing, mountain biking at the Bike Base Departmental Interests in Sédières, canoeing or kayaking down the Dordogne River, horseback riding, golfing, and even hang gliding.
