Directions
LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS:
Our bed and breakfast, La Maison de Noyer B & B, is located in the Pays de la Loire region, near the village of Averton. We are situated on the northern border with Normandy, equidistant between Alencon and Le Mans.
To reach us, we recommend using LD Lines, specifically the Newhaven-Dieppe service. From the M25 junction that connects to the M23, it takes approximately one hour to reach Newhaven, making it a quick drive. The ferry journey itself lasts around four hours and provides a relaxing way to begin your trip. Once you arrive in Dieppe, it will take approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes to reach us in St. Aubin du Desert via Rouen. Thanks to the speedy A28, this journey is now much faster compared to a few years ago when there was no autoroute.
For those traveling from the ferry ports of Dieppe, Caen, and Le Havre, the driving time is approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. From Cherbourg, it takes around 3 hours, and from Calais, it takes approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes. If you are coming from Le Mans, it is only a 50-minute drive, while Alencon and Mayenne are both just a 30-minute drive away. The Loire Valley and Saumur can be reached in approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
To find us, when travelling south on the A28, take exit 20 and drive to Sille le Guillaume. From there, continue on to Fresnay sur Sarthe and then Souge le Ganelon. Proceed through St. Paul le Gaultier and head towards Villaines la Juhel on the D15, which then becomes the D119 as you enter the Mayenne. Turn right onto the D268 towards Gesvres, and take the first right to reach La Maison de Noyer at La Cesnerie.
If you are using a GPS to navigate, simply type in LA CESNERIE 53700. Our hamlet consists of only three houses, and La Maison de Noyer is located down a short drive off the D268, accessible through a metal field gate.
