Description for B&B:
The village of Morey is situated in the town of BELLEAU, perched 305 meters above sea level on the side of the Natagne valley, spanning from the east to the west side of the Moselle rating in the Massif of the great Romanesque couronné. The village is home to a XII century church dedicated to St. Peter and has a population of around one hundred villagers, known as the wolves. Morey Castle, built in the XII century on the remains of a Templar monastery, was once owned by the lords of JEHAN TOULON Nomeny until the 17th century. Later, Brassel JOLY MOREY took over until the early 1900s, when it was succeeded by George DUCROCQ, a writer. Unfortunately, the castle was destroyed by fire in 1985 and was left abandoned, with only four walls remaining. However, with great courage and determination, the castle has been transformed into a beautiful guesthouse with five rooms, surrounded by nature. The guesthouse is set in a picturesque location with a large garden, protected by a wall over five meters high. The garden features a variety of trees, including chestnut, cedar of Lebanon, lime, copper beeches, oaks, maple, and even has a duck pond.Reviews
