"Furnished 3-Star Gîte on the Banks of the Cher RiverLocated in the heart of the historic center of Saint Aignan and only 4 minutes from the Beauval Zoo, the "On the Edge of the Cher" Gîte is the perfect place for a short stay or a few days exploring the Loire Valley castles and its surroundings.
This charming cottage offers a spacious surface area of 78 m2 and can accommodate up to 5 persons. An extra bed for a child and a cot are also available upon request, free of charge.
Upon entering, you will be greeted by a charming staircase that leads to the main living area. The lounge is tastefully decorated in a colonial red and grey theme and features a comfortable seating area with a TV and DVD player, as well as a dining table.
The fully equipped kitchen includes an induction plate, electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, Senseo coffee machine (coffee pods provided), and all necessary kitchen utensils. Please note that only frying cooking is not allowed.
The patio/laundry room is decorated with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and a WC.
The gîte also offers two independent rooms. The master bedroom is furnished with a single bed (140 x 190), while the secondary room is equipped with a bunk bed suitable for a children's room (90 x 190 + 140 x 190) or a maximum of 3 persons. The bathroom on the upper floor features a shower, hanging toilet, and a comfortable white satin washbasin.
Upon arrival, a deposit of €200 will be requested in the form of a check. Visitors tax of €0.88 per adult, with minors exempt, will also apply.
Optional services include bed linen and bath towel rental/washing and set up (€5/person) and a €40 household package.
Saint Aignan is a charming medieval town with its winding and cobbled streets. The architecture of the old houses built in tufa stone, brick, and half-timbered style will captivate you. Don't miss the 12th-century collegiate church and its crypt with pictorial frescoes, which are unique attractions of the city.
During your stay, take a moment to admire the view from the private Château de Saint Aignan and capture some stunning photos. Relax by the Cher River and enjoy the "Saint Aignan Beach Islands" with its festivities, swimming spots in the Cher to cool off, guinguette, and children's games.
All necessary amenities, including restaurants, bakery (ideal for breakfast), bank, tobacco shop, cinema, and grocery stores, are conveniently located near the gîte."
