You can opt for a bed and breakfast experience or stay in a holiday home (gîte). Hospitality, tranquility, and spaciousness are the defining characteristics of this region. In addition to picturesque hiking and cycling trails, you can explore numerous hillside villages that offer breathtaking panoramic views. There are also various recreational lakes that offer water sports and boat rentals. Other activities include canoeing on rivers, visiting caves, tree climbing parks, and museums. Description for Gite

We have two gîtes and a large guestroom on our property. Gite "La Maison" is a luxurious and spacious loft-style house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. This unique accommodation is situated in a partially converted old barn. Inside, you will find a dining area with an open kitchen and a cozy sitting area with a television that offers Dutch channels and a few English channels. The bedrooms feature comfortable box spring beds that can be arranged as a double bed or two separate beds. Additionally, we can provide an extra single bed upon request. Enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty on the charming terrace outside.

For a picturesque view of the valley, choose our cozy cottage, "Le Chalet." You will have a private terrace where you can relax and soak in the stunning scenery. The gîte includes a kitchenette, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet, a sleeping area with a comfortable double box spring bed, and a sitting area with a sofa bed. Furthermore, a walkway from the terrace leads you to a treehouse with a bunk bed, which is perfect for children. Additionally, we have installed a camera in the treehouse so that you can monitor your children from the comfort of the gîte.

If you prefer a romantic and spacious room, "The Doré" is the perfect choice. This room features a double bed and two single beds for children. The shower room offers a convenient walk-in shower, and there is a separate toilet for your comfort. In the morning, indulge in a delightful breakfast that includes delicious pastries, baguettes, fresh fruit salad, homemade specialties, and refreshing fruit juice. If you are not in the mood for cooking, you also have the option to join the owners and potentially other guests for a delightful dinner.

Directions

To reach Lauzerte by car, you can follow these directions. Lauzerte is situated between Cahors (A20) and Agen. If you are coming from Brussels, the distance is approximately 900 km, while from Amsterdam it is around 1,100 km. In Paris, head towards Bordeaux, then continue on towards Orleans and Vierzon. Take the exit towards the A20, which leads to Toulouse. On the A20, take exit number 58 (Cahors South) and then follow the N20 towards Cahors. Just before reaching Cahors, take the D653 towards Montcuq, and continue on this road to reach Lauzerte. At the junction with the D2, turn towards Montaigu de Quercy. After approximately 7 km, you can turn left onto the D60 towards Toufailles. After 2 km, you will reach the intersection of Pont Fourcat. Bounetis Bas is located at the top, and you can follow the signs to reach it. For GPS navigation, enter Lauzerte as the city, Pont Fourcat as the street, and leave the house number blank.

If you prefer to travel by train, Lauzerte is also accessible via the TGV (high-speed train) through Agen, which is located 40 km away from Lauzerte.

Alternatively, you can consider flying to Toulouse or Bergerac airports, both of which are approximately a one-hour drive from Bounetis Bas. It is advisable to book a car in advance from your location as it will be more cost-effective and convenient. Toulouse airport offers connections with Zaventem (Brussels Airline & EasyJet), Amsterdam (KLM), and Lille (EasyJet & Hop!). Bergerac airport provides connections with Rotterdam (Transavia) and Charleroi (Ryanair).
