Description for B&B:

Situated in Marseille's 9th arrondissement, in the southern area of the city, this charming bed & breakfast is nestled within a family-owned property. The space has been cleverly transformed to house a delightful restaurant, serving lunch, as well as comfortable rooms for guests to enjoy. The entire property has been meticulously designed with a strong focus on environmental sustainability, from cultivating produce for the restaurant to harnessing solar energy for water and electricity consumption. Even the materials used in the renovation have been carefully chosen. Aptly named Ginkgo, after the legendary Ginkgo Biloba tree, this establishment offers three cozy double rooms, each with its own unique vegetable-themed decor. Check-in is available at any time of the day, with room availability starting from 3pm (Mon, Tue, and Wed) and 5pm (Thu to Sun). For your convenience, please check with the host for specific check-out times, which are 11am if the room is occupied the same day or 3pm if the room is vacant. Feel free to explore the expansive outdoor space, including the vegetable garden, and take advantage of the on-site parking. The restaurant is open from Thursday to Sunday, serving delectable meals from 12pm to 3pm. In addition, evening meals and high-end picnic baskets are available upon request, subject to availability. For those eager to explore the natural wonders of the area, Ginkgo is conveniently located just a few miles away from the breathtaking "Les Calanques" National Park (5 minutes by car, 10 minutes by public transportation, or a 25-minute walk) and the nearby sea (10 minutes by car, 30 minutes by public transportation). As an added bonus, Ginkgo also offers day trips on a sailing boat, accompanied by a knowledgeable local skipper, to discover the hidden gems that Marseille has to offer. For further details regarding pricing and availability, please consult with the host.
