Description:

Description for B&B:

Le Gaudin is a charming 18th-century farmhouse that has been beautifully transformed into a luxurious 5 bedroom bed and breakfast. Situated in the heritage area of Suisse Normande, the house is nestled in a picturesque valley surrounded by woodlands. Its location holds historical significance as it once served as a stopping point for pilgrims on their way to Mont-St-Michel, who would fill their bottles with water from the stream in the serene wooded grounds. Le Gaudin is truly a unique and special place.

While preserving the original character of the farmhouse, we have enhanced and restored the house to meet the expectations of today's discerning travelers. Each feature of the property reflects the creativity and charm of the region, from the exposed stone walls to the grand fireplace and the long table where guests gather for our exceptional and convivial dinners.

Set on a 4-acre site, Le Gaudin boasts expansive lawns and its own private lake. The surrounding woodlands create a peaceful ambiance, allowing guests to enjoy the melodies of singing birds and the serenity of autumn, with the sound of conkers falling from horse chestnut trees. The absence of light pollution also offers a magnificent opportunity for stargazing.

Every bedroom at Le Gaudin is more than just a room; it is a spacious suite with an en-suite bathroom and breathtaking views. Each room has its own unique style and details that not only ensure a comfortable stay but also serve as a reminder of the local way of life.

Whether you choose to relax by the cozy log fire with a glass of Calvados, immerse yourself in a good book on our comfortable sofas, or enjoy the company of fellow guests at our large dining table, Le Gaudin guarantees an unforgettable experience. The property also offers opportunities for exploration, with World War II artifacts and picture books waiting to be discovered.

At Le Gaudin, we consider breakfast to be the most important meal of the day, and we take it very seriously. Every morning, guests are treated to a generous selection of fresh bread, pastries, cereals, meats, cheeses, and yogurts. A variety of juices, tea, and coffee are also available to complement the meal.
