Description:

Description for B&B:

The Domaine de Blacons is a charming family estate that combines simplicity and elegance, creating a timeless atmosphere.

Our goal is to preserve this property that has been passed down through generations and to share our love for the beautiful Drome Valley. We have continued the adventure started by our parents almost 40 years ago.

Located in the heart of the Drome Valley, between the picturesque Vercors and Provence regions, this 17th century home showcases the traditional architecture of the area. Nestled on sloping ground, the estate consists of two main buildings. We warmly welcome our guests all year round and strive to make them feel at home in a natural environment that combines comfort and elegance. Surrounding the property are three hectares of gardens, where the soothing sound of crickets fills the air, providing the perfect escape in a tranquil and natural setting. During the renovations carried out between 2010 and 2013, we prioritized the use of ecological materials, reflecting our commitment to environmental consciousness. We are dedicated to meeting the needs and desires of our guests, and we eagerly share our own experiences and insights about this exceptional region.

The Domaine also serves as an ideal starting point for exploring the magnificent Drome region, which is a paradise for nature enthusiasts and offers a wide range of outdoor activities. There are opportunities for water sports along the River Drome and in the Roanne valley, as well as paragliding, horse riding, mountain biking, and various nature trails. The nearby sloping forest of Saou is a favorite among hikers and climbers. Mirabel-et-Blacons itself is an entry point to the Regional Natural Park of the Vercors and the Valley of Gervanne, boasting stunning waterfalls, impressive cliffs, and lush green countryside. The region's exceptional biodiversity is a result of its favorable climate and sustainable agricultural practices. As the first department in France to be designated as Bio, the Drome is home to outstanding markets where visitors can discover and savor exceptional local products. History enthusiasts can also explore the medieval tower of Crest, which is recognized by Michelin, as well as numerous mountain villages where artists and artisans create a wide array of unique creations.
