Welcome to "Au fil de l'eau," our delightful 17th-century cottage that has been fully renovated to offer you an enchanting retreat just a short distance from the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Carcassonne and Canal du Midi. Nestled by the river in the picturesque village of Montolieu, known as the book village, our characterful gite provides a truly unique experience.

Step into the inviting living/dining room, adorned with a charming fireplace and a comfortable convertible sofa. The fully equipped kitchen boasts a vaulted ceiling in carved stone, and a large bay window opens onto a sunny terrace of 30m2, offering breathtaking views of the river and garden.

You will find two double bedrooms, one with a 1m60 bed and the other with a 1m40 bed. The bathroom features an antique bath, an Italian shower, and a WC. Stay connected with our free WIFI connection, and enjoy delightful meals using the barbecue on the terrace. Take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool or challenge your loved ones to a game of boules.

For those who love fishing, trout fishing is possible right on-site. Additionally, there is a municipal swimming pool and tennis court just 1km away. Conveniently, shops and restaurants are within a short 300m stroll.

Je conseille vivement de passer des vacances chez Sabine et Bart. La maison est atypique. La terrasse est enivrante. La nature est exceptionnelle.
Sabine nous reçoit à merveille. Tout est prêt dès notre arrivée. Pour bien commencer les vacances, elle nous reçoit avec une petite attention. Sabine est toujours à l'écoute pour trouver une solution (location de voiture) et propose des activités intéressantes.
A ne pas manquer.

Directions

To travel from Carcassonne to Toulouse, take the RN113 and pass through Pezens. After that, make a right turn towards Moussoulens. At the roundabout in Moussoulens, continue in the direction of Montolieu. Once you reach Montolieu, follow the signs for Alzonne. The house you are looking for is located on the left-hand side, just before the bridge, a short distance ahead.
