Appréciations pour Les Deux Saints Jean, Melleroy:

Inviting, artistic atmosphere in natural surroundings
Review by: Kathy Ter Veen, Sep 9 2014 12:16PM
Katia creates a dramatic, warm home where all corners offer a delight to the eye. Deep maroons, magentas and violets, filtered sunlight falling on antique objects, Russian folks style painted detail on fireplace and doors, candlelight even at breakfast. Alain's icons and other paintings are beautiful and excellently crafted. Ask to see his book explaining the icon technique - it also is beautifully designed and precise in its explanation. Because it is such a beautiful and welcoming environment, we have stayed here two times when traveling to the Dordogne, even though it is out of our way - and we will continue to so on all future trips. Not only are dinner and breakfast oh, so tasty and generous in servings, both are beautifully set out; picture perfect for the best of any interior magazine. Garden and house are exquisite, and the warm and friendly atmosphere completes the experience. Don't miss seeing Museum La Fabuloserie nearby!

maison d'hôtes délicieuse
Review by: Buisson, Juin 8 2012 10:05AM
