Casa Migliaca is situated near the northern coast of Sicily, just a few kilometers away from Cefalù, nestled between the Nebrodi Mountains and the Madonie mountains. Perched on a hill overlooking the eastern side of the Tusa River's valley, the house offers breathtaking views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Nebrodi woods. Originally built in the 17th century as an oil mill, it has since been transformed into accommodation with a simple yet welcoming atmosphere. At Casa Migliaca, guests can enjoy an informal lifestyle, sharing meals together around the large round table that was once used to press olives. Breakfast is a relaxed affair, with no set time restrictions, and guests can help themselves in the ancient kitchen on the first floor. The house offers eight rooms, each with its own unique charm. The rooms on the first floor feature antique furnishings, while those on the ground level retain the original characteristics of the former oil mill service rooms. The preserved artifacts, such as the silted jar, the small palmento, and the chestnut mezzanine, serve as reminders of the building's history. All rooms are spacious and maintain the original architectural style and proportions. The bathrooms, though small, are practical and designed with respect for the building's heritage. Surrounded by a 12-hectare active farm producing olive oil and citrus fruits, Casa Migliaca offers a tranquil and authentic experience.
