We stayed at Maison de l'Oiseau for 2 nights. The rooms were nice and clean, the bed comfortable, good shower and a good selection for the continental breakfast. In addition our room had a fridge and some nice French period features. The location is perfect and Ann and Brian are really friendly and helpful.

Chambre d'hôtes "la maison de l'oiseau"
Review by: FAHY Monique, Sep 29 2012 11:52PM

Directions

Directions to The Bird House:

To reach The Bird House, if you are coming from the East or the South, make your way towards Ploermel and take the RN24 in the direction of Lorient. After approximately 10km, keep an eye out for the Josselin est junction. Exit here and continue towards the Centre de Ville. As you descend the hill, you will notice that you are entering the old town, characterized by narrow streets and houses close to the roadside.

Continue straight, passing by shops on either side. As you descend the hill, you will spot a bakery on the right and a Restaurant called La Sarazine on the opposite side. Take a sharp left turn onto the canal road. As you proceed, you will see the Chateau ahead. Take the opportunity to slow down and admire the view. On your right, you will notice a bridge over the canal and a large hotel called Le Hotel du Chateau.

Turn right as if you were entering the hotel car park, but continue past it. After 100m, you will come across black gates on your right. This is Maison Oiseau, also known as The Bird House.
