Description:

Description for B&B:

ENVIRONMENT, VIEW, AND NEIGHBORHOOD: The cottage is located in a peaceful countryside hamlet on the outskirts of a forest, with only fifteen inhabitants (and just as many deer or wild boar, if you're lucky, you might spot them in the garden). There are no neighboring houses, providing an unobstructed view of the picturesque countryside. Although the cottage is attached to the owners' house, it has a separate entrance, ensuring total independence for guests.

INSIDE AND OUTSIDE AMENITIES: The cottage offers a pleasant and cozy atmosphere, featuring a spacious main living area measuring 30 m² (with a 4 m high ceiling) that includes a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area (equipped with a gas hob, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, and a wood stove). The living area is brightened by a large bay window that opens onto a covered south-facing balcony measuring 6 m². Overlooking the living area is a charming mezzanine under the roof, which serves as a furnished "dormitory" with two beds (one measuring 120 cm and the other 140 cm). The mezzanine also includes a partitioned sleeping area with blackout curtains and a spacious 2 m² closet. Adjacent to the mezzanine is a bathroom measuring 6 m², complete with a shower, sink, toilet, and a decently-sized closet (with hot water!). Additionally, guests have access to WiFi, and if needed, a changing table, cot, and high chair can be provided. Please note that sheets and towels are not included, and pets are accepted under certain conditions.

LOCATION AND NEARBY CITIES: The cottage is a mere 5 minutes away from the center of Lavelanet and within easy reach of various cities and attractions in the region. Montségur is located 13 km away, Mirepoix is 18 km away, Camon is 20 km away, Foix is 25 km away, Tarascon is 35 km away, Pamiers is 45 km away, and Carcassonne is approximately 60 km away. St Girons and St Lizier are also just a few minutes' drive away. Moreover, the cottage is conveniently located near Cathar castles, medieval towns, and prehistoric sites. The valleys of Couserans and Vicdessos are only one hour away, while Andorra, the sea, and Spain can be reached within an hour and a half.

ACTIVITIES & RECREATION: The Ariège region offers a wide range of diverse and exciting activities for all interests. Guests can enjoy water activities such as canoeing, canyoning, rafting, hydro speed, as well as hiking, horseback riding, fishing, and swimming in various water bodies, rivers, and mountain lakes.
