It is conveniently situated less than a mile away from Cenac (Cenac et St Julien), a small town that provides all necessary amenities and is situated on the left bank of the river Dordogne. In close proximity, you will find the delightful bastide town of Domme, as well as the chateau villages of La Roque Gageac, Castlenaud la Chapelle, Vezac, and Beynac. The larger town of Sarlat La Caneda, located approximately 6 miles away, boasts a captivating medieval old town, trendy boutiques, and a wide array of restaurants, bistros, cafes, and bars. Additionally, Sarlat offers various entertainment options, large retail facilities, and numerous other services.Staying in Cenac puts you right at the heart of all the activities that La Dordogne has to offer. From an abundance of castles to explore, to intriguing grottos and troglodyte dwellings, there is no shortage of unique experiences. The area also offers stunning scenery, perfect for leisurely walks, cycling, horse riding, and canoeing. For those feeling extra adventurous, you can even witness it all from the sky in a thrilling hot air balloon ride.

The apartment is a part of the owner's house and is available for rent. The property features shared gardens and pool facilities for all occupants. The main room includes a sitting area with a leather double sofa bed and matching double sofa. Guests can enjoy entertainment options such as an HD TV, Freesat (UK) and TNT, as well as DVD and VCR facilities. A music center with radio, CD, and tape is also provided for enjoyment. The lounge leads to the dining area, which is adjacent to a fully fitted and furnished kitchen. There is a separate utility room next to the kitchen that houses essential appliances such as a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and cleaning and ironing equipment.An ante room (dressing room) connects the main room to both the double bedroom and the shower room, which includes a hydro-spa shower, toilet, and hand basin. The entire apartment is well insulated, providing a cool environment in the summer and efficient heating options (central heating and/or wall fire) in the winter.
Please note that the apartment is only available for responsible adults and does not allow children or pets. There may be occasional visits from Eddi, the owner's Border Collie, who may not understand boundaries at all times.
The pool is located in the fully fenced lower garden and offers stunning west-facing views of the valley. It is open during the months of June, July, August, and September, with a possibility of extending the season into October if there is an Indian Summer.
The apartment can accommodate a maximum of 4 adults, with 2 double beds (including a sofa bed). The pricing is inclusive of electricity, hot water, and central heating (if applicable). Bedding and towels (excluding pool towels) are provided at an additional charge of 15 euros per bed per week. If only 1 or 2 guests rent the apartment and do not use the sofa bed, a 25% discount is applied to the tariff rate. A security deposit of 300 euros is required upon arrival, which will be fully refunded if there are no damages or losses during the stay. Please note that guest liability is not limited to the security deposit amount.

The minimum rental period is 6 nights with a Saturday changeover for June, July, and August. For all other months, the minimum rental period is 3 nights, and the owners will try to accommodate flight schedules if possible.
In case of late cancellations, there may be special deals available. Please contact the owner for more information.
Payment methods accepted include credit/debit card via PayPal, bank transfer, and Euro cheque.
Deposits required include a booking deposit of 50% upon reservation acceptance and the balance, which must be paid at least 8 weeks before the rental period begins. Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation, and the booking deposit will be forfeited.
A security deposit of 300 euros is payable in cash at the start of the rental period.
An end-of-rental cleaning charge (minimum 35 euros, depending on the condition) will be deducted from the security deposit unless paid separately in advance. Laundry charges will also be deducted from the security deposit.
Cancellation and refund policies are as follows:
- More than 12 weeks' notice: 50% deposit refunded (100% of balance if already paid)
- Between 12 and 8 weeks' notice: 25% deposit refunded (100% of balance if already paid)
- Between 8 and 4 weeks' notice: No refund of deposit (50% of balance already paid)
- Between 4 and 2 weeks' notice: No refund of deposit (25% of balance already paid)
- Less than 2 weeks' notice: No refund at all.
Please note that all cancellations must be made in writing prior to the rental period.

To reach your destination, follow these travel directions:
1. Coming from Sarlat/Bergerac/Soulliac (D703), continue on the road until you reach the Domme bridge that crosses over the river La Dordogne into Cenac.
2. At the crossroads, take a right towards St Cybranet (D50), ignoring the left turn towards Domme.
3. Keep driving on this road until you are approximately 50 meters away from the church. Then, take a left turn towards Monbette/Brocante.
4. After driving for about 100 meters, you will encounter a blind summit. Look for markings of yellow/red/yellow on a telephone pole to help identify the turn.
5. Proceed on the narrow road, and you will soon come across a newly constructed house on the right.
6. Keep driving for approximately 300 meters, and you will find the apartment. It is the third house on the right, located at the top of a rise. Look for stone buzzards on the gate posts as a marker.
