This charming residence has been lovingly restored and tastefully decorated in a minimal modern style with a touch of the orient. It is the perfect retreat for a couple or single person.The ground floor features a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, complete with gas hob, fan oven, dishwasher, washing machine, and fridge. The oak worktop and unpolished marble tile floor add a touch of elegance, while the excellent stainless steel saucepans and top-of-the-range frying pans make cooking a pleasure. All necessary utensils, attractive crockery, cutlery, and glasses are also provided.
On the first floor, you will find a bright and airy living room with a wooden floor. Double doors lead to a tranquil patio at the back of the house, overlooking a small garden with a sun terrace. The garden is bursting with flowers and an array of herbs, creating a picturesque setting. The living room is equipped with sky TV, DVD player, stereo, and an excellent collection of books on local interest.
The second floor houses the comfortable bedroom with an attached bathroom. The large bed features an orthopedic mattress for a restful night's sleep. Additional amenities include a fan, mosquito net, Egyptian cotton bed linen, power shower, and luxury towels.
This is a place where you can truly fall in love with France all over again. Experience the leisurely pace, breathtaking countryside, exquisite wine and food, and the warm ambiance and friendliness of the locals.
Please note that the minimum rental period is one week, from Friday to Friday. The residence is located in the ancient land of legends, Badefols, which holds a strategic position by the banks of the Dordogne. It is ideally situated between the 'Périgord Pourpre' and the 'Périgord Noir', making it a perfect base for exploring the entire Périgord region.
The residence is situated in a peaceful hamlet just five kilometers east of Lalinde. In Lalinde, you can find a Boulangerie where you can get fresh bread and croissants every morning. There is also an excellent restaurant just a two-minute stroll away, offering a mesmerizing view of the river. Additionally, there is a superb cave nearby that sells many local organic wines.
Surrounded by beautiful countryside, you can enjoy scenic walks and visit local markets, which are held nearby every day. A recommended list of restaurants is also provided for your convenience.

- Bordeaux: Approximately 1.30 hours away, Bordeaux offers direct flights from Dublin with Aer Lingus, as well as flights from Cork, Edinburgh, Porto, Bologna, and other European destinations with Ryanair. As France's second city, Bordeaux rivals the beauty of Paris, albeit on a smaller scale.
- St. Emillion: Just 1.00 hour away, this region is renowned for its exquisite wines and charming town.
- Sarlat: A mere 40 minutes away, Sarlat boasts a perfectly restored old town that dates back to medieval and renaissance times. As the capital of Black Périgord, Sarlat is a city that has preserved its architecture, with over 1,000 years of history visible through its lanes, stone roofs, and sturdy walls.
- Domme: A short 30-minute drive will take you to Domme, a bastide town perched high above the Dordogne River. Enjoy breathtaking views of the river and countryside, and marvel at the town's original fortified walls and gateways.

Directions
To reach Sarlat from Lalinde, follow the D29 road. After driving for approximately 5 kilometers, you will reach a village called Badefols. At this point, make a right turn, and you will find the house 200 meters ahead on the left side, directly across from the car park.
