Description for B&B:

Sylvie and Thierry invite you to experience the charm and elegance of "le clos des pierres rouges" in the beautiful Country Vellave. Situated between the renowned road of Santiago de Compostela, the scenic gorges of Allier, and the famous road of the animal of Gévaudan, our guesthouse offers comfort and refinement in a tranquil green setting.

The story of "le clos des pierres rouges" began with Sylvie and Thierry's deep love for the Haute-Loire region. After their extensive travels, they decided to settle down in Rougeac and transform a grand building into luxurious 4-star guesthouses. The seamless blend of antique and contemporary styles adds a touch of elegance and refinement to the structure.

One of the key advantages of "le clos des pierres rouges" is its prime location, surrounded by the road of Santiago de Compostela, the picturesque Gorges of Allier, and the road of the Animal of Gévaudan.

On the ground floor, you will find a spacious living room with a cozy fireplace, connected to the dining room where you can indulge in delicious meals made with local products or enjoy a rich breakfast (reservation required). The decor is adorned with unique objects collected by Sylvie and Thierry during their travels, offering a glimpse into their adventurous lives.

The first floor houses three beautiful themed rooms. The "Tea Time" room features a comfortable double bed and a tastefully decorated shower room. The "Pondichéry" room exudes a vibrant ambiance with its red and white tones, also furnished with a double bed. Lastly, the "Vellave" room is accessible for individuals with reduced mobility, boasting a spacious and adapted shower room. This charming room also includes a covered terrace with breathtaking views of the Mounts of Margeride and Lozère.

Outside, you can enjoy the expansive grounds and the stunning terrace specially designed for your relaxation. We also happily welcome horse riders.

For your convenience, services and shops are available in Saint Privat d'Allier, just 4km away. As for leisure activities, there are numerous options to choose from. The Allier River, just 7km away, is a paradise for fishing enthusiasts and water sports lovers. The region is also renowned for its mushroom picking opportunities. Walkers on the road of Santiago de Compostela can take advantage of our transfer service from Saint Privat d'Allier to the bed and breakfast, and we offer delicious packed lunches. Finally, for snow enthusiasts, the small resort of Vernet, only 5km away, offers excellent ski slopes and snowshoeing trails.

In summary, throughout the year, "le clos des pierres rouges" provides the perfect reason to stay and discover the beauty of the Haute-Loire region.
