Description for Gite
Welcome to the Pinot Black cottage in the Clos de Guignes, a historic winery with a rich story to share. Dating back to the seventeenth century, the Clos de Guignes estate in Tavers (45) is a part of the renowned history of the Loire Valley. It was once inhabited by monks from the diocese of Meung-sur-Loire, who produced wine enjoyed by royal tables, including the beloved Louis XIII.As you enter, you will be greeted by the picturesque farmhouse adorned with roses, which was once a thriving vineyard. The vineyards, now a beautiful landscaped garden, will guide you to the Clos de Guignes, a place of tranquility and rejuvenation. The heated pool and nearby spa are perfect for relaxation, while the garden offers hidden corners where chickens roam freely. For a peaceful moment or a fishing excursion, you can retreat to the cabin by the river. Keep an eye out in the morning for deer frolicking in the woods or pheasants strolling by.
Hospitality and warmth are always present when interacting with us. The cottage, located in one of the outbuildings, offers privacy and a peaceful stay. We are delighted to provide you with all the amenities of our site and its surroundings. Please note that the two single beds in the attic are not suitable for elderly guests. The cottage is perfect for families with children or groups of friends.
The Pinot Black cottage is conveniently located just ten minutes from Beaugency station and 150km from Paris. You will be within easy reach of the Loire River, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which you can explore on foot or on the bicycles available to you. The famous vineyards and castles of the Loire, such as Chambord, Blois, and Meung-sur-Loire, are only a few minutes away from the cottage. If you're looking for more adventurous activities, the Beauval Zoo and Sologne's tree climbing and go-karting are also nearby.
