This charming country cottage in St. Margaret of Elle, approved by "Gite de France" with a 3-épis rating, offers comfortable accommodation for up to eight people. The building, constructed in the 17th century and made of stone, has been completely renovated. Located between Bayeux and St Lo, the cottage is situated on a large enclosed area, close to the landing beaches, the Regional Park of Cotentin and Bessin. It is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Normandy coast, including the historic landing beaches, as well as the department of Manche and the famous Mount St. Michel further south.The cottage boasts numerous nearby activities, including hiking, horseback riding, and cycling through the charming groves and villages along the Vire River. Additionally, guests can enjoy the St Lo aquatic center, golfing, fishing, and bowling. The area is rich in heritage, providing ample opportunities for sightseeing.
The house itself is independent and offers a comfortable living space. On the ground floor, there is an entrance, a spacious kitchen (25 m2), a living room (40 m2) with sofas and armchairs, a separate living area, a bathroom, and a toilet. Upstairs, there are five bedrooms with a combination of single and double beds, a bathroom, and two toilets. The cottage is well-equipped with amenities such as a dishwasher, washing machine, interior and exterior dryer, wall oven, ceramic hob, electric heating, and a stove.
The rates for renting the cottage are as follows: during the high season, the weekly rate is €550, during the mid-season, it is €385, and during the low season, it is €290. For shorter stays, the weekend rate is €190, and the midweek rate is €240. There is also the possibility of renting the cottage on a monthly basis.
From November 1 to April 30, there is an additional charge of €25 per week for water, electricity, and heating services. From May 1 to October 31, the charge is reduced to €15 per week. Guests can bring their pets for an additional fee of €10 per week.
For added convenience, bed linen and towels can be provided for €10 per person, and there is also an option for end-of-stay cleaning for €35.
