Directions from Cancun Airport to Villas DeRosa:
Upon leaving Cancun Airport, head east for approximately one mile. Look for highway #307, the only highway running north and south from Cancun to Tulum. Turn right and head south on #307 for about 65 miles (approximately 100 kilometers) until you reach the bays of Akumal.
During the drive, you will pass Puerto Morelos, a pueblo with one gas station and several speed bumps called "topes" across the highway. Keep an eye out for these speed bumps as they can cause damage to your vehicle. The signs on the bumps may be worn off, so be cautious.
Continuing south, you will reach Playa Del Carmen, the fastest growing city in the Americas, located 20 miles south of Puerto Morelos. If you need to stop at a larger grocery store, stay in the right lane section and near the end of the city, you will see a Soriana Mall across from Sam's Club.
After another 12 miles, you will pass Puerto Aventuras, a golfing community with two gas stations. Be cautious of speed bumps near the people crossing bridge.
The last 12 miles will bring you to Akumal. The first Akumal exit you will encounter is "Playa Akumal." Villas DeRosa is located 2 miles further south at the exit for Aventuras Akumal. Look for a green road sign above the road indicating "Villas DeRosa Resort." Take this left exit and you will see the name Aventuras Akumal in green letters on the entrance wall. Pass the entrance and continue driving south until you reach a highway turn area just before the Bahia Principe bridge. Turn around here and head back north to Aventuras Akumal.
Once you enter Aventuras Akumal, follow the dirt road for about 1/4 mile. It will turn 90 degrees to your left, and you will see houses on your right. Villas DeRosa is located on the center lots, specifically lots 35, 36, and 37. Look for signs indicating the condos, restaurant, rooftop bar, beach bar, and office.
