Description for B&B:
Come and relax at Glade, a charming stone house dating back to 1781, located in the tranquil countryside of southwestern Cantal Auvergne Volcanoes and Lot Valley. Our house offers a peaceful and secluded atmosphere, with no direct neighbors and a stunning 180° panorama of the surrounding hills. We have two comfortable cottages available for rent – the Blue Suite on the ground floor and the Ochre House or the White Room on the first floor. Additionally, we have a unique and quirky "retro" style room, which is a small 80s Eriba caravan located in the garden next to the house. As the owners, Alessandro and Camilla, we live on the first floor and have our own separate entrance from the south side of the house. We also offer a table d'hôte service, with menus starting from 20 euros, including all meals. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and we are open all year round.
The town of Marcoles, a charming medieval gem, is less than 2 km away and serves as an ideal starting point for exploring the area. There are beautiful countryside walks to enjoy and exceptional sites to visit, such as Conques (35 km) and Figeac (45 km). However, Glade is also the perfect place for those seeking pure relaxation – whether it's reading a book, taking a nap, or simply immersing yourself in the peacefulness and breathtaking views of the southwest Cantal, Lot, and Corrèze hills.
Our accommodations consist of two bed and breakfast options – the Blue Suite on the ground floor and the Ochre House or the White Room on the first floor. Each room opens onto a tranquil landscaped terrace, offering privacy and a serene environment. The Eriba caravan is situated to the left of the house, nestled within our garden surrounded by trees and flowers.
The Blue Suite can comfortably accommodate 2 to 5 people, as the living room can be transformed into a separate second bedroom. The Ochre House on the first floor is suitable for two people, while the White Room can accommodate 3 to 4 people. Additionally, the White Room can be combined with one of the other rooms to increase the capacity from 1 to 3 people.
We provide two cots free of charge, with cot linen available for a small fee of 10 euros per stay. During the low season, couples have the option to rent the Blue Suite without the salon for 58 euros. In the high season, this option may be available under certain conditions or for stays of 3 nights, priced at 62 euros.
For those seeking a truly unique experience, we offer the opportunity to stay in our retro-style Eriba caravan. This charming little caravan can accommodate two adults in a fixed bed (140x190) and is equipped with a seating area and a small toilet. For hot water and shower facilities, a bathroom in our house is accessible from the outside, offering direct and independent access to the occupants of the Eriba. For more details and specific rates, please visit our website.
Please note that we do not accept pets at Glade.
