Description:

Description for B&B:

St. John Commandery of Artin is a unique guest house that offers a delightful combination of court, cellars, and garden living. Originally a hospital order of St. John of Jerusalem, this historical commandery was transformed into a charming farm after the Revolution. The barn, stables, and bread oven dug in the rock still retain their original charm.

Our four guest rooms, Aunis, Gamay, Jasnières, and Vouvray, are named after the surrounding vineyards, paying homage to the rich heritage of the area. The family room, Jasnières, can comfortably accommodate up to five people and is located in the old granary of the main farmhouse. Here, you can indulge in the beauty of exposed beams and polished plaster, creating a serene and contemporary ambiance. For those who enjoy a leisurely morning, we offer a Sunday brunch that is not to be missed.

Upon reservation, we invite our guests to join us for the "meal of the Commandery," where we create a warm and friendly atmosphere to introduce you to our regional producers. Our passionate householder, who is a connoisseur of food and wine, delights in preparing delicious alternatives for our guests. Discover the true flavors of the region!

To make your stay even more memorable, we organize tasting courses, workshops, and sensory taste games for both young and old. These activities are designed to provide a fun and educational experience, allowing you to enhance your taste buds and deepen your knowledge of wine. Join us for an introduction to wine tasting, where you can engage in sensory tests and expand your understanding of wine, all while enjoying a delightful time with friends and loved ones.
