Catherine and Benoit warmly invite you to their charming renovated stone farmhouse in the Massif des Bornes-Aravis, where you are welcome year-round.Our farmhouse offers four comfortable bedrooms, each with private bathrooms and separate toilets, accommodating up to three people (or four in the family room). For your relaxation, we have a spacious lounge with a large table and a cozy reading area stocked with a wide selection of books and board games.
Occasionally, we offer group dinners upon reservation, where you can enjoy a delicious meal at our table d'hôte.
Within a short distance, you will discover the breathtaking view of Lake Annecy from the Col de la Forclaz. This mountain pass is a popular destination for paragliders, hang gliders, cyclists, and hikers alike.
Whether you prefer gliding through the air, snow, or water, cycling, mountain walking, or simply enjoying a peaceful and relaxing environment, la Chavane has something to captivate you.

Directions
* If you are coming from Annecy, drive along the eastern shore of the lake and pass through Annecy-le-Vieux, Veyrier du Lac, and Menthon St Bernard. After Echarvines, before entering Talloires, take the D42 road towards Col de la Forclaz / Montmin. Drive past Vérel and continue over Col de la Forclaz, then through Montmin Chef-Lieu. After 500 m, in the corner of the Ferriere hamlet, take the small road in the opposite direction towards Montmin Plan.
* If you are coming from Ugine / Albertville, follow the signs for Annecy. Drive around Faverges Marlens and stay on the D1508 road, which briefly becomes a 4-way. At the second roundabout after the end of the 4-way, take the D42 road (1st exit) towards Montmin / Col de la Forclaz. Cross Vesonne and begin the ascent to Montmin. In the hamlet of La Ferriere, take the small road on the right that leads to a hairpin turn towards Plan Montmin.
* Once you are on the communal route to Plan Montmin, drive for 1.5 km until you reach the top village of Plan Montmin. Continue through the village and you will soon reach the bottom of Plan Montmin, about 100 m away. The Chavane is the first house on the left side, located in front of a meadow with a small chalet.
