The Halepa Hotel, constructed in the late 19th Century, showcases the elegant New Classical style of the time. Originally serving as the Embassy building for the British during the late 1800s and early 1900s, known as the era of Cretan Democracy, it played a pivotal role in Cretan history by hosting the signing of numerous significant treaties. In 1990, the hotel underwent a meticulous renovation, with the addition of a new wing featuring 42 rooms that seamlessly integrates with the original structure's grandeur. Since then, the Halepa Hotel has enjoyed great success. Offering a total of 3 Suites and 46 rooms, guests can choose from the Traditional Wing, which boasts a VIP Suite and 5 Superior rooms accessible via an exterior marble staircase, or the New Wing, which houses 2 Small Suites and 41 Standard rooms, including 3 adjoining Family rooms. All accommodations provide modern amenities such as a Private bathroom, Hair dryer, Shaver outlet (110/220), Phone, Free Internet access, Music, Satellite TV, Mini-Bar, Central heating / Air conditioning.
